Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has been granted bail after spending 15 days in Kuje prison over allegations that he impersonated social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.
This was disclosed on Friday in a brief statement posted on Facebook by activist and former presidential candidate Omolere Sowore.
Sowore said Blord was granted bail on his own recognizance after he was arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja. He also added that the court placed a condition on the bail, requiring Blord to submit his international passport.
“Bail has been granted to Linus Williams, popularly known as @mrblordofficial BLORD, on self-recognizance. The court, however, ordered that he deposit his international passport as part of the bail conditions,” he wrote.
It will be recalled that Blord was first remanded in Kuje prison on April 1, 2026, pending further proceedings in the case.
