Afrobeats star Davido has spoken after losing at the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, sharing a message of faith and strength, saying God remains on his side after the setback.
On his Instagram page, Davido posted beautiful photos with his wife from the award night and ended the post with a praying emoji and music symbols.
He wrote: “Oluwa Dey my side”

In another post, he shared words his wife said to him after the loss. He captioned, “I said baby listen we lost again let’s not go! She said ‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat’ we outside 🎩❤️”

Davido was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards, held on Sunday night at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, but did not win.
The award went to Tyla for her hit song “Push 2 Start”, beating other nominees including Burna Boy (“Love”), Ayra Starr and Wizkid (“Gimme Dat”), Davido (“With You” featuring Omah Lay), and Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin (“Hope & Love”).
This win marked Tyla’s second Grammy, following her first victory in 2024 for her hit song ‘Water.’
After the loss, Davido’s fans praised him and sent congratulatory messages, expressing pride in his craft.
