‘May Allah Vanish Terrorists From Surface Of Earth’ – VP Shettima Mourns Borno Bombing Victims

Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has strongly condemned the deadly blasts that hit Maiduguri, calling the killings senseless and stressing that no religion allows the murder of innocent people.

Shettima, who plans to visit the Borno State capital, expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of at least 25 people in multiple explosions across the city on Monday.

Speaking on Tuesday during the closing session of the Annual Ramadan Tafsir at the State House Mosque in Abuja, the Vice President said that respecting human life is at the core of all major religions and must never be violated.

He prayed for the victims, asking God to grant them eternal peace and a place in Aljannah Firdaus, while also seeking comfort for their grieving families.

“May the lives of innocent souls—25 of them—that lost their lives in Maiduguri rest in peace. May Allah grant their souls eternal rest and reward them with Aljannah Firdaus, and grant their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable losses,” he said.

Shettima also called for an end to terrorism, praying that those behind such attacks either find guidance or are removed from the world.

“No religion sanctions the killing of the innocent. Whatever is motivating them, may Allah either guide them onto the right path or vanish them from the surface of the earth,” he added.

He urged Nigerians to keep praying for the country and for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, asking for wisdom, courage, honesty, and fairness in governance.
