Plateau Killings Meant to Embarrass Tinubu on Birthday — Cubana Chief Priest

Celebrity barman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has reacted to the recent killings in Jos, Plateau State, suggesting the attack may have been planned to embarrass President Bola Tinubu on his birthday.

In a post on his Instagram story on Tuesday, the nightlife entrepreneur expressed shock over the growing violence, mourning the loss of lives and questioning why killings keep happening across the country.

“I have been cold. In the past few days the video of that woman and her child can’t get out of my head. When will these killings stop? How do people desire happiness in killing one another. When will this ever stop?” he wrote.

He also criticised the state of security in Plateau, pointing to how the government handled the attack.

“The governor in Jos pulled up in a Bunker. Does it mean everyone should now pull up in bunkers because he is scared more than the people? To lead a state you have to be fearless; you have to have the ability to lay your life for the people. I feel for everyone in Jos,” he said.

Cubana Chief Priest further claimed that the timing of the attack was intentional.

“This was clearly done to embarrass our president on his birthday,” he added.

He urged security agencies to take stronger action, warning that such incidents make leadership look weak.

“Security agencies should brace up to their task. Allowing this kind of embarrassment on your principal is embarrassing. I pray God gives President Tinubu the energy to select people capable to lead with him,” he wrote.
