ADC chieftain, Kenneth Okonkwo, has accused President Bola Tinubu’s government of being part of a criminal gang that is “buying and selling Nigerians.”
Okonkwo made the claim on Wednesday during a live interview on ‘Politics Today,’ a show on Channels Television.
He spoke in the context of calls for the introduction of state police amid the rising insecurity across the country.
According to him, President Tinubu will keep politicizing the idea of state police, and he doubts the president can actually tackle the country’s insecurity.
“So I’m sorry to say this, that the government is now part of the criminal gang that is buying and selling Nigerians.
“The only thing this lame, incompetent, lying and corrupt government know how to do is to politicize everything, including security. That’s why it is metastasizing all over the nation.
“The President is incapable. He doesn’t have enough boots on the ground. You have a lot of ungoverned spaces. Hunger and hardship is increasing. Suffering of people increasing.
“They are easy to be recruited. Criminality is not being punished. Tinubu and his cohorts say they talk to the terrorist nicely to release the ones that they have.
“You can imagine that more than hundreds of people are kidnapped at a time, and they will release the whole 100 and nothing happened,” he said.
