Tinubu Saved Nigeria From Collapse – Seyi Law

Popular comedian Seyi Law has lauded President Bola Tinubu, saying his government rescued Nigeria from a serious economic crisis.

He spoke on Friday at the APC National Convention in Abuja, showing strong confidence in the President’s leadership and economic policies.

Seyi Law noted that Tinubu took charge when Nigeria’s finances were in bad shape but has since steadied the economy.

“This is a man I am willing to stake everything for, because he brought Nigeria back from the brink of economic collapse when our net foreign reserve stood at barely one billion dollars,” he said.

“But today, we are talking about 40 billion dollars in net reserves and over 50 billion dollars in gross reserves.”

The comedian defended some of the administration’s controversial decisions, like removing fuel subsidy and unifying the foreign exchange market.

He said scrapping the fuel subsidy was a direct attack on corruption.

“On the first day of his inauguration, he struck corruption by stopping the fuel subsidy regime,” he added.

Seyi Law also said floating the naira has helped bring the official and black market exchange rates closer together.

On education, he praised the government for reducing strikes in universities and introducing student loans.

He said this administration has recorded one of the shortest strike periods, while also giving financial support to students.

Nearly one million students are already benefiting from loans and monthly stipends, he added.

He also pointed out investments in technical education, noting that some federal technical colleges now offer free tuition and pay stipends to students.
