The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, said he had warned Nigerians before the 2023 elections not to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, calling the government “bloodthirsty.”
In a video clip circulating online, the pastor voices serious concern about the country’s rising violence and worsening insecurity.
Oyedepo said the ongoing killings and the authorities’ poor response prove that his warnings were right.
“I told Nigerians and I said, watch, you are voting a killer system into power. I saw a bloodthirsty of men coming to cause massacre in the country. Telling the blind the way to go is a problem. The government is irresponsible, insensitive and callous,” he said.
His remarks come as more Nigerians criticize how the government is handling security issues, especially in areas hit by insurgency.
