VIDEO: ‘Our Children Are Suffering in the Bush, It Will Not Be Well With You’ — Soldier’s Mother Weeps, Blasts Tinubu Govt

A Nigerian woman, said to be the mother of a serving soldier, has criticised the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing the government of neglecting troops deployed in the bush even as they risk their lives for the country.

She made the remarks in a video shared on X by a user identified as Chuks, where she called on Nigerian leaders to urgently look into the problems facing soldiers currently on active duty.

In the video, the woman raised concerns about the harsh conditions under which the troops are working, saying many of them are struggling while carrying out their responsibilities.

“Please, the leaders of Nigeria, our children (soldiers) are crying in the bush. I have told my son if he’s no longer fit, he should come back home, God will feed us,” she said.

She also compared the present situation with the experience of her husband, who spent many years serving in the Nigerian military.

“My husband did army’s work for 36 years, they never encounter this thing but small small children are suffering,” she added.

The woman further accused Nigerian leaders of using soldiers for their own benefit while failing to properly care for them.

“Una take our children to make money, Nigeria leaders, e no go better for you people,” she said in the video.

Her comments have drawn reactions on social media, with several users raising concerns about the welfare of personnel of the Nigerian Army deployed for different security operations across the country.

Nigeria continues to send troops to different conflict areas as part of efforts to fight insurgency, banditry and other security threats affecting several parts of the country.
