The Premier League has unveiled an eight-player shortlist for the 2025/26 Player of the Year award.
Arsenal supply three nominees — Gabriel, David Raya and Declan Rice — while the rest of the list features Antoine Semenyo, Erling Haaland, Brentford striker Igor Thiago, Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
Fans have until 12:00 BST on Monday 18 May to cast their votes. Public ballots will be combined with those of a panel of football experts to determine the winner, who will be announced next week.

Semenyo’s season was highlighted in the announcement: the Black Stars forward featured prominently for two clubs after moving to Manchester City in the January transfer window following a stunning start to 2025/26 with AFC Bournemouth. He made an immediate impact at his new side, registering three goals and one assist across five Premier League appearances in February and earning his first EA SPORTS Player of the Month award. He has been used in a variety of attacking roles — on both wings, as a forward and in midfield — and has adapted quickly to Pep Guardiola’s side as they pursue Arsenal in the title race.
