‘Na Me, No Be Any Other Person’ — Minister Umahi Brags Over Forceful Acquisition of a Woman’s Land

The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has stirred fresh anger after a video went viral showing him boasting about forcibly taking private land for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project.

In the video circulating online, Umahi is seen claiming his power to seize a woman’s land after she reportedly opposed government demolition plans. “Before, I didn’t want to take the woman’s remaining land, but when she started making trouble, I said they should go and acquire the land,” he said boldly. “Na me, no be any other person.”

Umahi’s remarks have drawn strong criticism from Nigerians, who call his words and actions an “arrogant display of executive lawlessness.”

A comment reads: “Can you just imagine how heartless and wicked these people are… She’s making trouble, but you have more than enough money to buy a hectare somewhere else, yet you choose to take hers and say it proudly and shamelessly?? God help us in this country, mehnnn.”  WATCH VIDEO
