As the Bola Tinubu government spends billions on luxury houses and cars for judges, patients at a poorly funded hospital in Suleja, Niger State, are reportedly being treated under torchlight because there is no electricity or other reliable power.
A video making rounds online shows hospital workers attending to seriously ill patients in dark wards, relying on flashlights to carry out medical care.

At the same time, many Nigerians have criticised the government’s spending, highlighting the huge gap between expensive projects for the judiciary and the poor state of public hospitals.
