Rapper Nicki Minaj has opened up about the influence of unnamed powerful figures in the music industry.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Bryce Crawford podcast, the rapper claimed that many of the struggles she and other talented artists have faced were driven by those individuals.
Minaj also said she endured “constant spiritual warfare” because she refused to follow the rules set by those powerful figures in the industry.
“It was constant spiritual warfare. I wish I kind of knew sooner that this music industry was such a spiritual experience because I felt like I brought a knife to a gunfight,” she said.
