2027: Ibadan Assassin ‘Shawarma’, Confessed to 32 Murders, Backs Tinubu [VIDEO]

A self-confessed hired killer known as Shawarma has publicly thrown his support behind President Bola Tinubu’s bid for reelection in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

In a video that went viral online on Tuesday, Shawarma admitted to killing more than 32 people in Ibadan.

“When they wanted to misbehave in Ibadan, I killed 32,” he said when asked about the number of people he claimed to have assassinated.

Shawarma, who also said that security agencies had released and praised him for his killings, declared his backing for President Tinubu ahead of the next election.

“Even the police and soldiers freed me and told me I tried. President Tinubu will win the 2027 election,” he added.

This revelation comes just days after Yoruba Nation activist Sunday “Igboho” Adeyemo warned presidential hopefuls Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar against campaigning in the South-West and pledged to ensure Mr Tinubu got a third term.

Meanwhile, the Oyo State Police Command stated it has no record of Shawarma ever being arrested by any security agency.

However, the police spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, told The Gazette on Tuesday that an investigation has been launched to verify the claims and confessions made in the video.

“As a responsible and responsive agency, the command has launched a thorough investigation into the allegations and the confessional statements contained in the video.

“The investigation is being conducted leveraging advanced technology, including digital forensics and digital footprint analysis, to ensure a robust and credible outcome,” the statement added.

The command also appealed to the public for any information that could help identify and arrest Shawarma or his accomplices and promised to provide updates as the investigation progresses.
