Nigerian Afro-fuji star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has addressed rumours of a fallout with his former record label boss, Olamide Adedeji, popularly called Olamide. A few years back, Asake left YBNL (Yahoo Boy No Laptop) and later moved abroad.
Before his departure, rumours were flying that he and Olamide were no longer close. Fans expected Olamide to attend Asake’s international shows, but he never showed up. In a video interview conducted in Yoruba, Asake spoke openly about his bond with his former boss.
He said, “Till the end of time, Baddo will forever remain Baddo.” He added that he respects Olamide a lot and that even if he became the President of America, it wouldn’t change the relationship he has with Baddo.
Throughout the interview, Asake repeatedly referred to Olamide as “Baddo.”
Fans reacted positively to Asake’s remarks. Many compared him to Portable, who has faced criticism for speaking against Olamide despite the support he received from him. While Portable was called ungrateful, Asake earned praise for showing respect and loyalty.
