Nigerian singer Bukola Elemide, better known as Aṣa , has lost her mother, who died after battling a brain tumor.
On Tuesday, Asa shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram page, saying her mother was “her biggest fan” while alive.
She explained that the illness that took her mother came unexpectedly.
“A sudden brain tumor came without warning and took you too soon. You were generous. The kindest soul,” Asa wrote.
The news sparked an outpouring of condolences from fellow musicians and colleagues in the industry.
