Plateau Attack: How Gunmen K!lled My Pregnant Sister Inside Labour Room

Daniel Nanle, of Kawel community in Mushere District, Bokkos LGA, Plateau State, told Daily Trust how gunmen killed his younger sister during a savage raid on the local Primary Health Centre.

LIB reported the attackers struck on Sunday night while residents slept, killing 22 people — including health workers, security personnel and in‑patients at the health centre.

Deputy Governor Ngo Josephine Chundung Piyo visited to commiserate. Nanle said his sister, Larai Danjuma, was rushed to the hospital in labour and taken to the labour room to deliver. That’s when the gunmen burst in and shot her along with other patients and staff.

“My immediate sister was married to Mr. Danjuma Damial. She was taken to the hospital because she was due for delivery. Unfortunately, the attackers came and k!lled her,” he said.

Shaken, Nanle appealed for urgent action. “I am appealing to the state government and the Federal Government to intervene,” he said.
