Peter Obi Threatens To Dump ADC Over Compromise

Former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, has said he may leave the African Democratic Congress (ADC) if he notices that its internal processes are being compromised.

He made the statement during an interview on Arise News on Monday, where he also spoke about his past political moves and why he keeps switching parties when things go wrong.

Obi explained why he earlier left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and did not rule out another exit if the same issues appear again.

“I moved from APGA to the PDP because of issues with my successor. Rather than allow it to become toxic and become destructive to the governance of the State, I moved out,” Obi said.

He went further to describe his experience in the PDP, saying the party had become driven by transactions rather than rules.

“People were not playing by the rules. It was transactional. I cannot be part of a transactional primaries. I cannot be paying people to go and serve them,” Obi said.

Explaining his next move after leaving PDP, he added:

“So I moved to Labour Party, and of course like I said, government came into same system, which is very clear, I escaped from the fire they started.

Now in the ADC, he said he still sees similar political actors and warned he would not stay silent if things go wrong again.

“If that process is again compromised, I will speak out.

“If I have to move 20 times, I will,” Obi emphasized.
