Content creator Carter Efe kept it calm, sharp, and very controlled as he outboxed street-hop star Portable to win by unanimous decision and take the celebrity boxing crown at Chaos in the Ring 4 in Lagos.
The fight went down at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, and from start to finish, Efe stayed in charge of all three rounds. When the scores came in, judges had it 30-27 in his favour. That result handed Portable his first loss in celebrity boxing and brought his time as champion to an end.
Portable didn’t come in as an underdog. Far from it. He was unbeaten before this fight, having beaten Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington to pick up two belts. In the days leading up to this bout, he made it clear he wanted a third title and even said he planned to stop Efe.
But on the night, things didn’t go his way.
Efe brushed off all the talk and showed up ready. He had to deal with a fast and aggressive start from Portable in the first round, but he stayed patient. Once he found his rhythm, he began to counter well and slow Portable down.
By the second round, it was clear who was taking control. Efe was landing cleaner punches, while Portable struggled to hit his target, throwing shots that often missed or had little effect.
The same story continued in the final round. Efe stayed calm, controlled the pace, and saw the fight through without losing focus until the final bell.
In the end, it turned out to be a big surprise in the celebrity boxing scene, as Carter Efe walked away as the new champion.
