Dangote Refinery has again raised the ex-depot price of petrol, adding N75 to the cost. The new price now stands at N1,350 per litre, up from the previous N1,275.
This marks the refinery’s first fuel price increase for the month of May.
The latest hike comes just seven days after the company moved the price from N1,200 to N1,275 per litre.
It would be recalled that on April 29, the refinery also raised the ex-depot price of petrol by N75.
The constant increase in fuel and other petroleum prices has been attributed to the ongoing tension in the Middle East, prompting Iran to shut down Strait of Hormuz with United States and Israel not backing down on attacks.
