Carter Efe has finally cleared the air about his relationship with Afrobeats star Wizkid — and it’s a mix of love and shade.
Speaking to BBC Pidgin, the content creator and streamer said he admires Wizkid’s music and style, but feels snubbed by the singer. He wanted people to know he truly likes Wizkid, even if the singer doesn’t return the same warmth.
“My relationship with him? I love Wizkid. I won’t lie. I love Wizkid. I love his craft, man. But I have issues with his personality. I showed that guy love, he didn’t show me love. But I still love his music and style,” he stated.
Carter Efe also reminded fans that he released the track “Machala” in 2022 as a tribute to Wizkid. Despite the homage, Wizkid has never publicly acknowledged the song or Carter Efe in any official way.
