JUST IN: Real Madrid Confirms Cucurella Signing From Chelsea

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Spanish defender Marc Cucurella from Chelsea in a deal reported to be worth €55 million ($63.8 million).

“Real Madrid and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Marc Cucurella, who will join our club for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2032,” said Los Blancos in a statement.

The 27-year-old left-back arrived at Chelsea from Brighton in 2022 after progressing through Barcelona’s academy and later moving to Getafe.

Cucurella is currently with Spain at the World Cup and is the only Real Madrid player in Luis de la Fuente’s squad.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was re-elected earlier this month after two seasons without a major trophy. He also appointed Jose Mourinho as the club’s coach this week.

The defender had two years remaining on his Stamford Bridge contract, where he won the Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League in 2025.
