A moment at a recent All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Ebonyi State has gone viral after a live band unexpectedly performed the popular 2023 campaign chant, “Obi Kererenke Obi,” which was linked to Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
The rally was reportedly held to reaffirm support for President Bola Tinubu and APC leaders, including Dave Umahi and Governor Francis Nwifuru, ahead of the 2027 political cycle. It was meant to show unity and political alignment in the state, but the brief chant quickly became the main talking point online.
Peter Obi supporters saw the moment as symbolic, while APC supporters dismissed it as a common Igbo musical expression with no political meaning.
