Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has caused a bit of a stir online after revealing she burned the outfit she wore to the burial of the late actor Alex Ekubo.
On her Instagram page, Angela said she followed advice from her grandmother, who warned against keeping clothes worn to funerals. The actress said she felt it was important to pass the tip along to family, friends and followers — and, well, she did.
“This is the outfit I wore to Alex’s burial. My Godmother said it is not good to have the cloth you wore to a burial around you; you burn them. So family and friends take note. I felt I should share this information. May the Lord keep and bless us with long life. Amen. Chai,” she stated.
The post has drawn mixed reactions, with some praising her caution and others calling the move dramatic. Either way, Angela made sure the message was out.
