BREAKING: Again, Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol Price

Dangote Refinery has again reduced its nationwide gantry petrol price, cutting it from N1,175 to N1,125 per litre.

The spokesperson for Dangote Group, Anthony Chijiena, confirmed the latest price cut to DAILY POST on Thursday.

The move means the refinery has lowered its gantry petrol price by N50 per litre.

β€œIt is true our petrol gantry price was reduced by N50 per litre,” Chijiena said.

The refinery also reduced its coastal petrol supply price from N1,495,215 per metric tonne to N1,428,165 per metric tonne.

The latest reduction comes as crude oil prices fell sharply to between $69 and $73 per barrel, returning to levels seen before the Middle East crisis.

On June 16, Dangote Refinery had cut its gantry petrol price by N75 per litre, a move that led to a nationwide drop in retail fuel prices days later. With the latest adjustment, the refinery has reduced its petrol price by a total of N125 per litre in the past two weeks as global prices eased.

Retail fuel prices currently range from N1,241 to N1,305 per litre in Abuja and surrounding areas.

Despite the reductions, many Nigerians are still calling for pump prices to fall further to between N800 and N900 per litre, the level before the Iran-United States-Israel war escalated on February 28, 2026.
