The All Progressives Congress’ Rivers State Governorship Screening Committee has declared Ogundu Kingsley Chinda the party’s governorship candidate.
The announcement came Thursday evening at the APC secretariat, after collation of results from wards across the state’s 23 local government areas.
Chairman of the Screening Committee, Bitrus Kwamoti, said Chinda emerged victorious with a total of 268,497 votes.
Kwamoti described the exercise as peaceful and successful, commending party members for their conduct throughout the process.
