Street-pop singer Portable and actor Charles Okocha are set to face each other again in a celebrity boxing rematch on July 31 at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Balmoral Promotions confirmed the bout, tagged “Unfinished Business,” in a post shared on Instagram.
The promoters also announced that the event will feature the Agbaje vs Musa clash, describing it as a night where four fighters will settle their rivalry inside the ring.
“Africa, the stage is set. Now, we settle the score. Portable. Charles Okocha. Agbaje. Musa. Four fighters. One ring. No more talk,” the post read.
The rematch comes after Portable suffered the first defeat of his celebrity boxing career.
During Chaos in the Ring 4 at the Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, streamer Carter Efe beat him by a 30-27 unanimous decision after three rounds, ending Portable’s unbeaten run and taking his title.
Before that setback, Portable had built an impressive record in celebrity boxing with wins over Okocha and Speed Darlington, earning two celebrity boxing belts.
The bad blood between Portable and Okocha began in 2023 after Portable accused the actor of cheating him out of about N40 million in a business deal.
Their disagreement later moved from social media into the ring at Landmark Beach in Victoria Island.
Portable won their first fight after four rounds. He controlled the opening round with aggressive jabs, while Okocha enjoyed a better second round.
By the fourth round, both fighters looked worn out and chose not to continue, with Portable eventually awarded the championship belt.
Okocha refused to accept the result and has repeatedly called for another fight, insisting the outcome did not truly reflect what happened in the ring.
The July 31 showdown gives Okocha another chance to settle the rivalry in the ring, while Portable will be aiming to bounce back from his defeat to Carter Efe and regain his place in celebrity boxing.
