Pastor Kingsley Okwuwe of the Revival and Restoration Global Mission has issued a prophecy about the 2027 presidential contest, saying Peter Obi and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will lose and that President Bola Tinubu will emerge victorious. The cleric blamed Obi’s decision to team up with Kwankwaso for the predicted outcome.
The remarks followed Senator Kwankwaso’s recent announcement that he is willing to serve as Obi’s running mate. Kwankwaso made the declaration during an interview on Arise News PrimeTime as he and Obi joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). In that interview he stressed that Nigeria needs competent leadership over regional zoning: “What is key now is not presidency from the north or from the south. What is key is to have quality leadership… people who are determined and committed to give the country the leadership it deserves.”
Responding to the Obi-Kwankwaso alliance in a video posted to his YouTube channel, Pastor Okwuwe predicted “calamity” for the NDC. He said his earlier prophecy pointed to a “Cyrus” figure from the north and insisted the 2027 dispensation favours a northerner. “In 2027, you are going to see a little change. If you look at my prophecy, I told you that this dispensation is a dispensation for Cyrus to come from the north. Obi should go under the Cyrus. That Cyrus is a northerner,” he said.
Okwuwe added that a northern president now would, in his view, create a pathway for Obi to succeed in 2031: “This is a dispensation for a northerner to be president. Even if in your physical world, you say this is zoned to south, in the spirit realm, it is the realm for a northerner to come up… This is the time and dispensation for the northern president to rise so that there can be space for Obi to come up in 2031. And we have looked at all these in the realm of the spirit; I have prayed.”
The pastor also said Obi erred politically by not accepting a deputy role to former Vice‑President Atiku Abubakar, asserting that an Atiku‑Obi ticket could have unseated President Tinubu: “If they (Atiku and Obi) combine, they will have the power to overthrow the throne of ‘Jagaban’.” He further claimed he had seen a vision of the election result in which “Obi was sad, Kwankwaso was quiet.”
Separately, another cleric, Bright Ndibunwa—also known as Bright The Seer and founder of The Lord of Hosts Miracle Chapel—has warned that Obi could be involved in an accident that might spark a vehicle fire, a prediction she shared in a video circulated on social media.
