Atletico Madrid defender Marc Pubill says he has told fellow Spaniard Marc Cucurella to quit Chelsea and join him at Diego Simeone’s side in the summer transfer window.
Cucurella has spent four seasons with Chelsea, having joined the Blues from Brighton in 2022.
“Have you already told Marc Cucurella to come to Atletico Madrid with you?’, Pubill was asked by reporters at Spain’s World Cup training camp this week as quoted by (@GonzaloPalafox) on X.
The 22-year-old replied: “Yes, of course, I have already told him!’
When asked what Cucurella said in response, Pubill replied, “Nothing,” with a smile on his face.
Pubill and Cucurella are both international teammates with the Spain national team.
