Samson Eletu, better known as promoter Sam Larry, has stepped out in public for the first time since surviving a fatal auto crash — days after wild rumours said he had died.
A video that hit social media on Saturday shows Sam Larry with friends, alert and seemingly stable as he celebrated with those around him. The clip has set tongues wagging and drawn reactions from fans who had feared the worst after unverified reports of his death.
The footage should quiet the widespread speculation about his condition. Earlier, Sam Larry’s associate Akin Abolade, aka Mr Lilgaga, had pushed back on the death rumours, saying: “Yes, he’s alive and not dead, but his condition cannot be ascertained because of how bad the accident was.”
The auto crash sparked a wave of online claims about his state before any official word came out. Sam Larry has been one of Nigeria’s most talked-about entertainment figures, especially after the September 2023 death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba — Mohbad. He faced heavy public scrutiny when videos showing confrontations involving the late singer surfaced, prompting calls for investigation.
The promoter was later questioned by police during inquiries into Mohbad’s death, though he has consistently denied any involvement. Watch the video HERE.
