Nollywood actress and African Action Congress governorship candidate in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has drawn attention after saying residents have “no choice” but to accept her as the next governor.
Ogala made the statement during a TikTok Live session. A clip from the broadcast began circulating widely on Sunday.
Speaking to viewers, she confidently predicted she would win the 2027 governorship election.
“I, Doris Ogala, as your governor, you don’t have choice. Doris will be your governor, you don’t have choice.
“God has said it, so shall it be. It is very simple, why don’t you get that?” she said.

Ogala emerged as the AAC governorship candidate for Abia State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
After securing the party’s ticket, she announced her plan to defeat the current governor, Alex Otti. She promised to focus on the welfare of Abia residents, create jobs and grow the state’s economy if elected.
Before going into partisan politics, Ogala made a name for herself in Nollywood. She later became active in political advocacy with the AAC, taking part in protests and campaigns on issues affecting Abia State.
