Popular Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has died at the age of 40 after battling cancer for a long time.
According to The Sun Nigeria, family sources revealed that the actor died on Monday, May 11, 2026, after being ill for several months.
Fans and colleagues had already started worrying about Ekubo after he stayed away from the public for a long period and stopped posting on social media.
His last post on social media was in December 2024, not long after reports emerged that his engagement had ended.
Ekubo was loved for his acting skills and handsome looks. Over the years, he built a strong name in Nollywood, starring in many successful movies and TV productions.
After news of his death surfaced, many of his colleagues and fans flooded social media with emotional tributes and messages of shock over the loss of the actor.
