Real Madrid are now seriously looking at signing Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Soccernet.
The Spanish giants are close to naming Benfica coach Jose Mourinho as their new manager.
Mourinho has already picked Osimhen as the striker he wants to lead his attack at the club.
The Portuguese coach has been a longtime admirer of the Super Eagles star.
Back in Osimhen’s Napoli days, both men came up against each other in Serie A while Mourinho was in charge of AS Roma.
Mourinho has also openly compared Osimhen to Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba, whom he signed during his time at Chelsea.
If the move happens, Osimhen’s arrival could allow Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr to play permanently in wider attacking roles where they are seen as most dangerous.
