Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, has named former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso as his running mate.
Obi announced the pick on Saturday, right after he was officially confirmed as the NDC’s presidential candidate.
Both Obi and Kwankwaso recently walked out of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and jumped to the NDC. They said they left because of internal divisions and ongoing court cases — a messy split that clearly changed the race’s dynamics.
