Shock in Borno as Boko Haram Kidnaps 7-Month-Old Baby, 12 Others

Panic gripped a community in Borno State after Boko Haram terrorists abducted 13 travellers, including a seven-month-old baby, along the Biu–Damaturu highway through the Kamuya axis.

The victims were seized and taken to an unknown destination after the terrorists intercepted two Golf Wagon vehicles carrying passengers on the route.

Families of the abducted travellers have appealed to the Federal Government, Borno State Government, security agencies and other relevant authorities to step up efforts to rescue their loved ones and reunite them with their families.

In a statement, the families said they have been living in fear, pain and uncertainty since the incident, with little or no information about the victims’ whereabouts or condition.

“The families are calling on government authorities, security agencies, humanitarian organisations and all relevant stakeholders to urgently intervene and ensure the safe rescue of the abducted travellers,” the statement said.
