“They Are All Hypocrites,” Facebook Users React as Video of Alleged Fake Agency’s DG Doing Thanksgiving in Church Trends Online

A video showing Adeniyi Adeyemi, the man who claims to be the Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), rolling on the floor during a thanksgiving service in church has stirred reactions on Facebook.

The video surfaced at a time when Adeyemi is in the middle of a public dispute with the Presidency over the existence of the agency and his appointment.

Many Facebook users who reacted to the clip questioned why someone involved in such a controversy would publicly give thanks in church, with some describing politicians and public officials as “hypocrites.”

Others also shared mixed views, with some saying only God knows the truth behind the allegations and counter-allegations.

The reactions followed claims by Adeyemi that the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, received N400 million through a proxy and demanded another N200 million to secure his appointment.

He also alleged that the Chief of Staff demanded 48 per cent of the agency’s N27.4 billion take-off grant, a request he said he rejected.

However, the Presidency denied the claims and insisted that the PFIPC does not exist under President Bola Tinubu’s administration. It also maintained that Adeyemi was never appointed to head such an agency.

Despite the denial, Adeyemi argued that the agency appeared in the 2026 Appropriation Budget and claimed it has been operating for more than a year with offices, bank accounts and other official records.

He also called on President Tinubu to set up an independent panel to investigate his allegations against the Chief of Staff, as well as an alleged assassination attempt against him in 2025.
