VIDEO: “God Spoke to Me” – Pastor Adeboye Reveals How Kidnapped Oyo Schoolchildren Will Be Released

Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God says God told him the 32 schoolchildren and teachers kidnapped in Oyo will be released “dramatically.”

The victims were taken on May 15 from Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, and Primary School, Esiele in Oriire Local Government Area. Premium Times reported that one captive, a maths teacher named Michael Oyedokun, was killed while in captivity.

Adeboye made the claim in a viral video of his speech at the US‑Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala in Washington, D.C., on June 23. He said he prayed after critics mocked those praying for the victims. “Some people then began to speak, challenging those of us who said we had been praying. They said, ‘You are fasting, you are praying, where is your God?’ So I went to the Lord in prayer, in deep agony. I said, ‘Father, you have heard them. They said, ‘Where is our God?’ And then God spoke to me. He told me that the release of the children is going to be dramatic.” He added that God promised to respond and spoke on other national matters.

The comments drew hot reactions online. Sir Henro wrote: “We listen; we don’t judge. The government has failed; it should be said plain and plain. When citizens are kidnapped in other countries, the government acts and does not wait for manners from heaven.” Others questioned focus and timing, including M. C Ugwummadu Esq, Dazzler and Nad.

Adeboye also praised US President Donald Trump as “the best politician I have ever met” and urged President Bola Tinubu to strengthen Nigeria-US ties on counter-terrorism.
