Afrobeats star Burna Boy is set to team up with Colombian singer Shakira for the official theme song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The collaboration makes it the second FIFA World Cup anthem in a row to feature a Nigerian artiste, after Davido appeared on the 2022 World Cup song, Hayya Hayya (Better Together).
The new song is expected to drop officially on Thursday, May 14.
Sharing the update, Shakira wrote: “From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready! ⚽️🐺 @burnaboy.”
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States, with the tournament scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19.
